As many of you know, the Crandon community was deeply affected by the tragic loss of two beloved members, Michelle and Jeff Bauer, just two weeks after last year’s event. Michelle was a key figure in organizing Weeds and Walleyes over the last two years. Her incredible work raised the bar for this event, breaking fundraising records and ensuring the evening was memorable for all who attended. Weeds and Walleyes 2024 was an unforgettable success, with a sold-out crowd and over $31,000 raised! This included $6,000 to support the new eagle cameras on our lake. The event featured delicious food, a wide variety of beverages, amazing auction items, and raffles— including a gun raffle that sold out in just 30 minutes!

Last year, we honored Gary Goeman for his years of dedication to the association. This year, we’ll be paying tribute to our dear neighbors and friends, Michelle and Jeff Bauer.
